What do you need most when you’re doing the annual Cape to Cape MTB race? For many at the 2025 event the undoubted answer was quick access to a great mechanic.
Crossroads Bicycle Co. was pleased to answer the call. We not only helped numerous competitors get their bikes race-ready at the start of each stage, but our main mechanic also provided a free sweeping service, riding behind the peloton with an extended tool kit to fix on-course mechanicals.
It proved to be a lifesaver for a surprisingly large number of riders who otherwise would have limped home or, even more disappointingly, faced the prospect of a DNF.
Back at the Crossroads servicing tent, riders were pleased to be able to find water bottles, tyres, CO2, gels and other race essentials. Unprecedented demand for pickle juice even resulted in a midnight dash back to Perth in order to pick up more supplies!
C2C riders can feel assured that Crossroads Bicycle Co. will again have their backs at the 2026 event, scheduled to take place between 15 and 18 October.
