A dropper post is the single biggest upgrade you can make to a trail or enduro bike: full seat height for climbing, out of the way for descents, all at the push of a lever. The catch is that sizing has to be right. Seat tube diameter, maximum insertion depth and frame clearance all decide how much travel you can actually run.
