Crossroads offers early look of new Factor gravel bike
Relishing their first ever ride at Backroads Gravel up near Geraldton, Crossroads team members Josh and Dan both clocked-up top 10 finishes in the 100km Fields of Gold category. But it wasn’t the only first for the boys at the iconic mid-west event.
The journey up to Gero represented the first trip outside Perth metro for our new Crossroads Event Truck. Emblazoned with eye-catching branding, it made a startling impression among participants as our reputation for supporting cycling events throughout Western Australia continues to grow.
In a secretive mission, the truck transported Factor’s latest and previously unseen gravel bike up to the Chapman Valley course. With former Australian National Road Race Champion and Factor rep Henk Vogels in support, the boys gave curious riders an exclusive sneak peek at the new Elara Aero gravel bike. Impressively quick and a standout in its class, the Elara is designed for the fastest gravel races in the world, including the UCI World Gravel Championships which take place in Nannup from the 3rd to 11th October.
Splattered in dust and grime from their successful day’s riding, the Crossroads duo arrived back in Perth knowing the Elara will be a massively popular addition to the extensive range of leading road, gravel and mountain bikes for which we are renowned.
Seven Gravel Race success
As well as successfully participating at this year’s Seven Gravel Race, our shop team was on hand to assist competitors with pre-race preparations.
